Refresh browser when scene becomes active is not needed, the browser will update the time left himself.

For Width and Height enter your native stream resolution or the size of the background you specified (else the background won't display correctly, I'm working on a fix).

Post the URL you just copied into the URL field.

In OBS (Studio), create a new BrowserSource.

Now you should see your countdown! If it looks fine, copy the URL.

Select a background color (you can also enter a URL).

Select a text color (should fit your background).

Enter time and date (Format: DD.MM.YYYY and mm:hh).

Ideally, it's good to have a "stream starting soon" overlay of some kind so you can make yourself comfortable and ready for streaming, but I'm more inclined to doing a countdown as a "starting soon" overlay is kinda vague, and boring to look at if you have only an animated patterned overlay or solid color, since viewers have no idea when the stream's going to start (unless if it's timed based on when the music ends).ĭefinitely keep the 3-5 minute buffer for the overlay as it gets the notifications, through twitch or twitter and discord if you have, to viewers while considering the additional delay, and it allows for busy viewers to see the notifications a few minutes late and not miss any major content on stream.
